Dandy Rigg Cottage is a modernised Manx  “Tholtan” traditionally used by Crofters.

Our three-star holiday cottage is situated in the quiet countryside in the South of the Isle of Man.

Though secluded, it is within 3 miles of the ancient capital of Mann, Castletown, picturesque Port St Mary, and the popular resort and shopping centre, Port Erin. Douglas is ten miles away and the Airport just four miles.

Character features have been retained, such as the exposed beams and stone wall in the lounge.

Should you require fresh groceries on your arrival, these can be arranged. Please pay on arrival.

Vehicles may be parked to the front of the cottage on a quiet country lane.

In Colby itself there is a well-stocked Spar shop providing groceries and newspapers. Port Erin however, which is approximately two miles away, is the major shopping centre for the south of the island.

The nearest bus stop is Colby, less than half a mile away. There are regular buses to the south, and Douglas.

Local transport also includes a narrow gauge steam railway which runs from Port Erin to Douglas with a halt at Colby. This is an experience not to be missed!
